Projects

The best of what I’ve built: systems, websites and tools, and the art that runs through them. Several are still in production, and I run them myself.

    domo-lab

Producing for a dome without having a dome

I send 360, 180 and flat video from TouchDesigner to a virtual planetarium theater in Unreal Engine, to test a dome piece before getting to the planetarium. It also runs standalone, as a Windows program.

The virtual planetarium theater in darkness, with frames from Planet City by Liam Young (dome adaptation in progress by David) projected on the dome and the seats in half-light.

    Role
Sole author. It grew out of my work as Dome Master at the Planetario de Bogotá.
    With
TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine 5.8, Spout, NDI, C++, Blender

    Voltaje

SOLE Colombia, knowledge that works on a weak connection

I moved a foundation's knowledge from Notion to Markdown in Obsidian, published as a static site that works on a weak connection, and trained the team to keep it fed. IEEE honorable mention.

Voltaje's Soluciona section: purple cards with questions such as how to get donated equipment, a sidebar menu with search and, on the right, filters by category, difficulty and cost.

    Role
Development and training. Migration, automations and team training.
    With
Obsidian, Markdown, Quartz, GitHub Actions, Cloudflare, Gemini

    Climate migration in virtual reality

An environment painted in Quill to live through Pakistan's 2022 floods in the first person. Finalist for The World Around's Young Climate Prize 2023.

A snow-covered mountain painted in brushstrokes, in blues and whites, under a turquoise sky.

    FONEMA

English phonetics, with voice processed locally

An app to train your ear and English pronunciation with minimal pairs, dictation and IPA reading. Voice is processed locally; review comes from what you heard.

The FONEMA sign-in page: the name in wide black letters, the transcription /fo.ˈne.ma/ in blue, a sentence explaining the app and a field to sign in with just an email.

    Role
    Sole author. My own product.
    With
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, Docker, Vertex AI

Bespoke websites

Sites I designed and coded for clients and for my own projects, and host on my own server. Each one has its own language: none of them come from a template.
