AI systems for organizations
I work side by side with small businesses and freelancers in information-heavy fields —health, support, customer service— building bespoke systems that grow with the business over one or two years.
How I work
Five stages. You come in through the first one, a short call, and decide whether we go on.
-
Assessment
A short call and an honest read on where AI can help and where it can't
We start with an assessment call: how your team works, what eats up your time, what data you have. You come away with a clear read, no strings attached.
How it works
The first call takes 45 minutes. I ask what the project is, what you need, what’s going on and how I can help. From that I put together a proposal that responds to what’s happening, and you take it or leave it.
You don’t need to arrive with the problem solved or with technical vocabulary. What helps is being able to describe how the team works today and where the time goes.
Who I work with
Small and medium-sized businesses, and freelancers who are just getting started: they have more room to grow and for deep integration. For now I avoid large companies, where implementations take much longer and stay on the surface.
What I’m after is building systems and understanding the internal business models, so I can support founders and creators directly and help them grow faster.
What you get
- Assessment call
- Written read: opportunities, risks and what isn't worth automating
- Duration
- 1 week
- Price
- USD 150–200
-
Proposal
Scope, stages and budget in writing
With the assessment in hand, I propose what to build, in what order and what it costs. No fine print.
How it works
The assessment call leads to a written proposal that responds to what’s happening. You can take it or not: there’s no commitment.
I put together one to three models for getting it done. They’re different routes to the same problem, each with its cost and build order. You choose one, and the pilot begins.
What you get
- Proposal document with scope and phases
- Time and cost estimate
- Duration
- 1 week
-
Pilot / MVP
Something small that actually works, in weeks
A first, tightly scoped system — an agent, a workflow, a knowledge base — to test real value with your data before investing big.
How it works
The pilot is a small implementation of one of the project’s most fundamental functions. It isn’t a mockup: it works with your data and your tools.
From there I adjust. The pilot lets you decide, with evidence, whether the rest is worth building, and lets the team feel what working this way is like before investing big.
What you get
- A working system in one specific process
- Impact measurement (time saved, errors avoided)
- An informed decision on implementation
- Duration
- 3–6 weeks
- Price
- From USD 1,000
-
Custom implementation
Agents, automations (n8n), MCP servers and RAG on your infrastructure
Building the complete system, connected to the tools you actually use, with documentation and training for your team.
How it works
Implementation and adjustments in real time: we see what works, what needs to go and what needs to change. I don’t hand over a closed system at the end of a deadline; the system gets corrected while it’s in use.
It’s done when it’s integrated as the company’s own software: connected to the real tools, documented, and with the team trained to run it without me.
What you get
- System in production
- Documentation and training
- Monitoring and maintenance plan
- Duration
- 6–12 weeks
- Price
- From USD 3,000
-
Ongoing support and improvement
A long-term technology partner, working side by side
Hands-on, close work over one or two years: evolving the system, technology decisions, ongoing training.
How it works
Once the system is integrated, the work is making sure it keeps growing with the business: training to produce content, technology decisions and month-by-month iterations.
A system like this can eventually feed itself, with internal agents that put together their own solutions. Everything is curated by people who check whether it works and whether it’s relevant: that’s the part that doesn’t get automated.
The underlying idea is a method for using agents as a guide and building technical solutions that work with people, not over them.
What you get
- Fractional technology leadership
- Monthly iterations
- Ongoing team training
- Duration
- 12–24 months
- Price
- From USD 800–1,500 / month (or full projects from USD 10,000)
Case studies
Let’s start with a diagnostic call
Write to me at hola@davidvega.org with two lines about your organization and what eats up your time. I’ll reply with times for the call.
I’m putting together a lab with live demos of agents and MCP servers.
