What it is

An immersive meditation piece with binaural audio. It is based on the frequencies associated with the stages of sleep (alpha, beta, REM and non-REM) and lasts about eight and a half minutes. It was conceived for large-format immersive projection, around seven by three meters, with the aim of bringing on rest or sleep.

Process

The opening drones were passed on to me by a sound engineer. I composed the piece in Audition and Reaper; the live video, in Ableton and TouchDesigner.

What comes next

I want to come back to this work: understand the processes again and improve the drones for generating video live.
